BOT50 theme song released

The song, which is sung by 10 local artists from different music genres, had the audience talking. Most of the audience approved its melodies while a handful of the youth thought the song could have been made better considering that it was sung by renowned artists such as Ashely Gops, Women of Jazz Nnunu, Nono and Punah, O tsididi artist ATI, Senyonfere, traditional dance artist Sheleng and others. The song clearly interpreted the history of Botswana. Furthermore, the artists’ beautiful performance was accompanied by the three mascots. The mascots exhibited interesting dance moves. The mascots were the centre of attraction more especially to the audience who have been waiting patiently to see them.
Still at the same event, one of the country’s talented poets, Amon Thamage dished his rich poetry full of the history of Botswana. In his poem, Thamage talked of the three chiefs’ contribution in making Botswana what it is today.
