Improved prize money for softball extravaganza

FRANCISTOWN: This year’s Selebi-Phikwe softball extravaganza scheduled for President’s Day holidays will see an increase in prize money. The tournament, which has been growing since inception in 2009, will this year, record an increase in prize money from P357,000 to P442,000.

The champions from both sections will pocket P75,000 up from last year’s P60,000. The runners-up will receive P40,000, an increase of P10,000.

 Teams that finish third will get P28,000 up from P25,000 while number four receives P23,000, increased from P20,000. Number five will receive P18,000 while number six gets P12,000 up from P15,000 and P10,000 respectively.
