Five people amongst them a 16-year-old boy have died in a head-on collision near Mahalapye over the weekend.

Mahalapye Traffic Division Assistant Superintendent, Kgosienalerona Sechoni, confirmed the incident saying two vehicles collided 10 kilometres outside Mahalapye killing four on the spot and leaving one critically injured.

“The accident occurred around 5:30 am, the morning of Saturday when two cars, the one from Palapye and other from Mahalapye collided and out of a total of six people, only one survived,” he said.
