Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) conducted 45 cardiac procedures in the last eight days, officials have said.

In a statement, PMH stated that the procedures were conducted with the Mauritian Medical Team, which comes from the Cardiac Centre at Pamplemousse, in Mauritius.

Within the total procedures were eight heart surgeries done at Scottish Livingstone by a team of 12 specialists from Mauritius assisted by 34 medical, nursing and allied health specialists from various PMH departments. “The procedures started with heart scans from the sixth to the eighth of April, followed by interventional cardiology procedures within the same period and lastly heart surgeries from the ninth till the 13th of April,” the hospital said.
