Dithubaruba slated for September 6

The eighth installment of Dithubaruba Cultural Festival, which celebrates Bakwena culture and heritage, is scheduled for September 6, 2014 at Ntsweng (the old village site) in Molopolole.

This year’s cultural festival is themed ‘Botswana Pele: Maropeng Go A Boelwa.’ Dithubaruba spokesperson, Tlamelo Letlole, said the festival will feature several activities including; cultural dances, poetry, tasting of traditional food and participation in playing traditional games. He said only the best Kweneng groups will provide entertainment. Groups scheduled to perform at the event include Dipela Tsa Ga Kobokwe and Kwena Madiba Cultural Group who will serenade with Sekwena Phathisi.

Kgabo Sereto from Thamaga will perform the Tsutsube dance.
