Break-in at DIS office

Francistown Police are said to be investigating a break-in at the regional offices of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) in Francistown, in what is the first reported incident of its nature.

Yesterday, intelligence sources in the northern city said unidentified suspects had broken into the DIS offices, which are situated next to the Francistown Police headquarters, and gained access to a sensitive records management unit.

“Apparently nothing was stolen from the office. It would appear this could be an inside job as the offices are guarded around the clock.
