Motlhale demands answers on Kagiso Senior�s poor performance

The Ministry of Education and Skills Development says student indiscipline, vandalism and the inadequate involvement of parents in school affairs, are at the heart of Kagiso Senior Secondary School’s declining academic performance.

Assistant Minister, Keletso Rakhudu yesterday told Parliament that besides these factors, the aftermath of the 2011 public service strike was also to blame for the school’s consistent ranking in the bottom three nationwide in the last couple of years.

In the midst of the public debate on the future of the former Shakawe Senior Secondary School students, South East South MP Odirile Motlhale also demanded answers on the spiralling performance at Kagiso.
