Botswana artists missing Bushfire opportunity

MBABANE: Despite the magnitude of the Bushfire Festival and following, Batswana artists are said to be lagging behind in applying to perform at the event.

The organiser of the event, Jiggs Thorne, said that despite getting over 250 entries from bands all around the globe, very few Batswana artists have applied to perform at the annual Bushfire Festival.

He said that he has no doubt that Botswana has talented artists and gave reference to Shanti Lo’s performance at the event in 2011.
