The result is expected to lift the Young Zebras’ spirits after losing the first two games against Nigeria and Tanzania. Resaobaka Thatanyane scored an al important equaliser in the dying minutes of the game against South Africa to secure a point for the Young Zebras. South Africa had earlier taken the lead through Simphiwe Zwane.
While South Africa had the possession for most of the time, they failed to utilise it. Botswana had the first real scoring chance of the match in the first 10 minutes of the game.
