Government, through the Ministries of Youth, Sports and Culture; and Education and Skills Development, intend to form a partnership geared towards grooming young sports talent in the country.

Sports Minister, Shaw Kgathi, made the announcement at the sending-off ceremony for the team bound for Morocco for the inaugural African Youth Games. "We will be admitting all talented athletes at particular schools to minimise calling them to training camps hence they will be involved in continuous training throughout," Kgathi said.
