BURS intensifies searches at ports of entry

DIS agents demand backpays, say delay is unlawful

About 400 aggrieved employees of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) have decried the government's failure to comply with a court order for close to 10 months. This is after they won a case in which they had taken the employer to court for breach of contract (for refusal to pay them back pays dating as far as 2001).

'Killer' soldier denies shooting police officer

Tripple murder accused Botswana Defence Force (BDF) soldier, Moagi Mokomeng, has challenged the testimony of one of his alleged surviving victims, police officer Thabo Dibotelo. Mokomeng is alleged to have shot and injured Dibotelo on his right leg during the horrific shootings back in February.
