Masisi makes surprise appearance at GIMC music festival

The weeklong Gaborone International Music and Cultural Week (GIMC) festivities ended on Sunday, highlighted by the main music show, which was held at the National Stadium Saturday night.

It is rare for the second citizen to attend a music festival, but Vice President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, who is known for his love for selfies and personal slogan, ‘Go masisi blind’, relaxed at the MultiChoice marquee.

The show, which was headlined by South Africa’s Mafikizolo, Khuli Chana and Gareth Cliff had a low turn out. Local artists, however, gave their neighbours a run for their money on the stage.
