Maxy labels debut gospel album a huge success

Cultural music icon Maxy Sedumedi claims her debut gospel album is certain to outdo all her previous nine albums in sales.

The Otse born musician has just dropped a gospel album for 2010, and claims requests for the album in music shops has been overwhelming, surpassing any she has seen in her ten years in the music industry.

Maxy's gospel release, E e ke dumetse (Yes, I believe), is inspired by familiar sounds from traditional African churches, Pentecostals, and main stream hymns. "It is attracting interest from just everyone because almost all of Batswana are Christians in a way", she claimed over the phone as she announced that she was on her way to the church, but refused to divulge which church she goes to.
