BMC public relations officer Parks Buthiyi revealed that they hope to seal the deal this week. 'I can confirm that Pilato will join us for the coming season. We hope to seal the deal in the next few days,' Buthiyi said. BMC are also said to be on the verge of signing Gunners' skipper, Mmipi, Motlakase Power Dynamos' midfielder Hillary Madzivanyika and Burundian striker Christopher Ndayishime.
However, signing Mmipi may prove to be difficult for BMC as the player is said to be having a running contract with Gunners. 'We obviously have to consider the contractual positions of the other players that we are interested in because we don't want to get into trouble,' Buthiyi said in reference to Mmipi.
Mmipi is scheduled to meet Gunners' management this week to discuss his future. On the other hand, Madzivanyika is a free agent after his contract with Motlakase came to an end at the close of last season. The dreadlocked linkman confirmed that he has been negotiating with the Lobatse side, but is seemingly weighing his options. Madzivanyika featured in a friendly match for Bulawayo side Chicken Inn FC alongside former NICO United striker, Tendayi Ndoro on Sunday.
'BMC have made their offer but I'm yet to make a decision because there are so many things I need to consider before I sign with them,' he said. Meanwhile, Mochudi Centre Chiefs start their pre-season training this week under the tutelage of new coach Madinda Ndlovu after sealing a deal with the Zimbabwean over the weekend. Ndlovu arrived in the country on Sunday and comes in to replace his fellow countryman Rahman Gumbo who dumped the club to join FC Platinum last month.
Chiefs now have to convince their senior players who are out-of-contract to extend their deals with the club. Out-of-contract defender Itayi Gwandu has already joined Gumbo's FC Platinum while Pontsho Moloi, Tshepo Motlhabankwe, Jabu Pilane, Oteng Moalosi, Noah Maposa, Gwandu and Moemedi 'Jomo' Maotlhaping are all free agents.
