“Be pleased to take notice that the applicant hereby withdraws the above application against the respondent herein,” reads the order delivered before Francistown Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. Ntsima has registered to vote in Francistown East. In an affidavit filed with the court late last week, Makhiwane argued that Ntsima’s principal residence is in Francistown South and not Francistown East and as such he should be removed from the voters roll. Ntsima was supposed to appear in court on Thursday to defend himself against allegations levelled by the BCP activist. “Ntsima should not have registered (to vote) in Francistown East because he resides at Block 9, in Francistown South,” reads the main contents of Makhiwane’s affidavit filed with the court last week.
