Kombani used to be a dancer with the Chronicles, the Francistown group that won My African Dream competition two years ago.

"I am a talented dancer, but I tried at producing my own music album and it worked," he said.

Sbonda says that he dedicated the title, Dear Mama song to him mother because he misses his mother.

"I do not stay with my mother as my grandmother but sometimes I miss my mother," he said. The youthful musician further tells Showbiz that he wrote some of the songs in the album but for others he had sought help from his brother.

Sbonda says that he started dancing way back when he was young.

"I was still in form one when I started dancing and realising that I had the talent and so now I did not find any harm in exploring my singing talent and I believe that I have it," he stated.

He added that even though he is a solo artist he is not working alone.

"I have dancers who come along with me when I have live performances. The guys are called Skycosite and they are good because they understand my music and I understand their moves so I can dance along when I am performing," he added.

Sbonda says he loves music and he will at its keep going but he has not forgotten about his studies.

"I am going to open a dance school by the time I get to tertiary level, but I am also going to keep on studying so I can become a pilot," he added.

Asked how he is going to manage all this, Kombani says that he has already learnt skills to manage his time.

"It was not easy trying to come up with an album, promote it and at the same time keeping up with my studies and trying to maintain my grades, but in the end I did it," he said.

The songs in the album include Pantsula, which he created for youngsters who love to dance. The album also features tracks like Marata Helele and Bitso Laka, which is a gospel track remade.
