Township Rollers have decided to match their good performance this season with a new logo.

Managing director, Somerset Gobuiwang said the re-branding is meant to transform the club to match current trends. He said despite the changes, they have not completely moved away from the old logo. "Although we made changes, we still wanted the new logo to represent the Gaborone township," he said. The new logo appears in today's Mmegi. Gobuiwang added that they have involved all the elders in the re-branding. He explained that the incomplete portion of the logo which has been appearing in Mmegi for sometime now shows the club was established in 1965.

The complete logo will show it was established in 1961. He said the club was formed by the Public Works Department (PWD) workers in 1961. They called the team Mighty Tigers at the time. He added that in 1965, the name was changed to Township Rollers. He said the team represents the heart of Gaborone city. The first logo of the club was designed by the late Bernard Keaikitse.

Each of the 10 beautiful young women had supporters...
