Wonder Rue Missed Chances

Wonder Sporting Club suffered another setback in their bid to qualify for the Premier League when they were held to a goalless draw by hosts Tlokweng United in a MedRescue First Division South game at Naughty Boys Ground on Saturday.

Despite dominating the proceeding for the entire game, Wonder Sporting could not find the back of the net much to the disappointment of their fans. Though they were once top of the First Division and looked set for their first ever promotion in many years, they seem to have lost the steam in recent games. Their major problem on Saturday was scoring. They could have gone ahead early in the game through Gofhamodimo Nthobatsang but the striker failed to connect Tebogo Tshukudu's cross. In the middle of the pack, Wonder's Kabelo 'Mgababa' Sechotlho and Maxley Matongo were outstanding but they were let down by their strikers. On the opposite end, Tlokweng United's Mothusi Lekoko failed to give his side options upfront. Though he had pace and at times exposed Wonder's captain, Willie Ramasonya, Lekoko fumbled when it mattered most.

In the 22nd minute, Wonder goalkeeper Abram Mautla made a brilliant save to deny Lekoko from close range. Mautla followed with another crucial block in the 44th minute when he denied Kenny Mopako a chance to score. In the 41st minute, the Wonder bench could not believe their eyes when Nthobatsang shot wide with only United goalkeeper Isaiah Mothupi to beat.

The contest had 10 beautiful young girls as finalists and unfortunately only one could wear the crown. The judges picked Anicia Gaothuse. To all those who feel their contestant should have won ahead of Anicia for whatever reason, hardly; the judges found Anicia to be the best among the best, so desist from disrespecting our newly crowned queen on social media or anywhere else, for that matter! Each of the 10 beautiful young women had supporters...
