Kirby Reserves Judgment In Sebele Appeal

LOBATSE: Justice Ian Kirby of Lobatse High Court has reserved judgment in the case which former Bakwena regent, Kgosikwena Sebele wants his four year jail sentence for stock-theft quashed.

The ex-president of the Customary Court of Appeal wants the High Court to reverse the decision of Molepolole Magistrate, Dumisane Basupi, who convicted and sentenced him early this year.

On Friday, Kirby heard arguments from Sebele's attorney, Shame Taimu as well as Thabo Malambane from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
