Cabinet minister and MP for Serowe North East, Ramadeluka Seretse said the BDP had resolved to build a two-and-half house for the mother of Segolame Pilane who died on the spot when a Mazda van that she was travelling in with 17 BDP supporters collided with a Toyota Hilux that was making a right turn. The deceased is survived by two children including a six-months' baby. Her mother is destitute.

Seretse said they decided to help the family as the deceased was the only breadwinner. He said they will use P28,000 to build a house for the family. Some members of the party have pledged their labour to help build the house.

Seretse said they are building similar houses for two old and destitute people - one in Topisi village and the other in Tshimoyapula. "It is always a pleasure for us to help the underprivileged and to promote the spirit of self-reliance," he said.
