Attorney dies, murder trial postponed

FRANCISTOWN: High court Justice, Modiri Letsididi, has ordered that an attorney should be found for murder accused, Richard Josiah, whose lawyer died recently.

Letsididi postponed the trial date from yesterday until the accused has a representative. The accused will remain in custody. The 41-year-old Goganetsamang Oatlhotse of Shashe-Mooke is accused of stabbing his wife with a knife in the throat in 2007.

The state alleges that when the nine-year-old son and his siblings came from school around 1pm, their mother sent them to go and fetch water and look for a missing goat.
