Twelve perish in Sunday road accidents

At least 12 people perished in the early hours of Sunday morning in two separate road accidents along the A1 Highway near Mosaditshwene Restaurant and Tlhagale River in the Kgatleng District.

Five others are in hospital with serious injuries.

Senior Superintendent Seabe Maboka of Mochudi Police Station says the first accident involved two 4x4 vehicles that collided head-on near the popular Mosaditshwene Restaurant. The driver of one vehicle and a passenger in the other died on the spot. The cause of the accident has not yet been established.
