New BRU committee optimistic

Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) vice president Farid Pandor is optimistic the new committee elected on Saturday will improve rugby fortunes in the country.

Pandor, previously BRU secretary, said it is imperative for the new committee to continue from where their predecessors left. "I am quite optimistic, and I believe that the new body will be able to effectively carry out BRU's mandate," he said.

Pandor said in order for the new body to be effective, they would have to work hand in hand with all the affiliates and major stakeholders. "One of the objectives is to deliver what people want and involve everyone including fans in the running of the sport," he said.
