Matenge donates biography to schools

Retired career civil servant, Gobe Matenge, used the launch of his biography at the Ministry of Education yesterday to donate 56 copies of the book to senior secondary schools and tertiary institutions.

Once a  Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, the subject of Unearthing The Hidden Treasure: The Untold Story of Gobe Matenge says the book will be available in libraries in order to promote a reading culture among students.

Speaking at the launch of the book that was written by scholar and jurist, Oagile Key Dingake, Matenge implored the nation to inculcate a spirit of reading in order to become a knowledge-based economy.
