FRANCISTOWN: Scores of sympathisers and family members of a murdered woman of Matshelagabedi village yesterday flocked to the magistrate's court as the accused, her husband Youngman Dube made his second appearance before court.

Nomsa Moatswi told court that exhibits were sent to the forensic laboratory and they were still awaiting results. Immediately as the accused left the dock, the security officers escorted him to the van as people thronged the entrance.
As the police van left, it almost took an hour for the people to disperse as they were in small groups talking. Others were gathered at the main entrance in a somber mood.Dube, a 46-year-old a Zimbabwean is facing a single count of murder.
He is alleged to have murdered his wife Haniffa Dube, an employee of Tati Company. The deceased, who was aged 47, was allegedly chopped once with a sharp object in the head.
Passersby found Haniffa's car in a trench near Impala Agricultural Centre along the Francistown-Matshelagabedi road. The incident took place two weeks back.
The police later confirmed that the deceased was not involved in an accident but was rather murdered and dumped at the scene.
Haniffa's clothes were soaked in blood, while the car was allegedly pushed into the trench while the windscreen and the headlights were smashed.
