What the youth league finds inspiring about Kgafela's leadership is that instead of sending wayward youth to prison, he flogs them. "Prison life is not good because it turns people into hardened criminals.
BCP youth league believes in the upholding of our cultural heritage, hence having seen the need to be addressed by the youthful Kgosi-Kgolo.
BCP youth league further endorses Kgosi-Kgolo Kgafela II's leadership style in Kgatleng and believes that his measures will assist positively in dealing with many social ills bedevilling our society," Thekiso said.
The BCP youth conference will discuss, among other things, its position in the party's coming central committee elections, constitutional amendments, the future of the BCP and branding of the youth league. Thekiso said they intend to portray the league as a champion of youth issues, hence they will be going around the country discussing ways of addressing youth challenges with young Batswana.
Kgafela has confirmed that he has been invited by the youth to address their conference as a tribal leader. He said that though he has not yet made up his mind on what he would share with the youth league, he will officiate at the event. He said that he is not a BCP member.
"Actually I am not aligned to any party. I would never join any political party," he said.
Other dignitaries expected to attend the conference include BCP president Gilson Saleshando, BCP secretary general Taolo Lucas, BCP chairman for Francistown region and former MP Vain Mamela.
