Fire truck in an accident

Five men escaped unhurt on Monday morning when a heavy duty fire truck lost its rear differential and skidded off the road near Total filling station in Broadhurst.

Traffic flow was impeded as it took police, firemen and army officers seven hours to remove the truck, which had part of its body blocking the road.


Acting Station Fire Officer Tladi Pilane told Mmegi that this was the second fire truck to be involved in an accident in a period of two months after another truck overturned in Phase Two last November.
