The BAA is facing multiple challenges which might affect competitions

The Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) risks punishment for violating its constitution. Four members have resigned from the BAA executive committee, but two weeks after the event, the rest of the officials have not stepped down contrary to the association’s constitution.

The BAA constitution says that if half the committee members resign, the remaining officers should step down immediately. The BAA secretariat must take over and call elections within 21 days from the day the executive committee is dissolved.
