The Botswana Motor Sport (BMS) is running at a P10 million deficit as it prepares for Africa’s top off-road race.

In September, the BMS will stage Africa’s largest off-road cross-country event dubbed Morolong 2020.

The race would cover a distance of more than 6, 000km making it the biggest cross-country rally in the continent. It would thus surpass the Afriquia Merzouga Rally that runs for close to 3,000km in Morocco and the 1,000km Toyota Desert Race (TDR) that takes place every year in Botswana.
