The sale of alcohol during soccer matches has been viewed as a great initiative in an attempt to lure fans to the stadiums.

Alcohol was sold for the first time, in more than a decade, during the Zebras clash against Zambia in July, with the Botswana Premier League indicating its eagerness to jump on the bandwagon.

Township Rollers have been leading in the trend as in their every league game alcoholic beverages are sold, as so is the case with Orapa United and Jwaneng Galaxy.
