The outsourced services so far, include waste collection, security services, repair and maintenance, cleaning, administrative management, and catering.  At the time the report was prepared, PEEPA was working with Kweneng District Council, Tlokweng Sub District, and Gaborone City Council to pilot outsourcing of waste management that will include Gamodubu Landfill.

“Experience learnt from the pilot exercise will assist in the development of the planning and roll out of the outsourcing of waste management services in other local authorities throughout the country,” says the report.
