As the nation went to the national polls on Wednesday, the BTC Premiership games schedule was affected as weekend matches were cancelled.

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) said the decision was meant to allow all the stakeholders a chance to cast their votes. 

“After consultation with the Botswana Premier League Management Committee, we agreed to postpone Week 7 fixtures (which were to be played from Saturday, October 26 to Sunday October 27) to allow stakeholders such as players and supporters to go cast their votes,” the BPL said in a statement.
