Suspects In Court On Different Charges

Goitseone Sondani (36) and Tshimologo Gabathuse Joseph (38), both of Botshabelo ward in Maun appeared before Letlhakane Magistrate Court on Thursday in connection with offences of shop breaking, unlawful possession of explosives and malicious damage to property.

The subjects were found by the police in the ceiling after breaking into a shop in Letlhakane on September 17, 2019. They are also charged with breaking into three micro lenders’ offices and a Bureau de Change using explosives in Letlhakeng on September 10, 2019.

At the time of the arrest the two were on bail for other break-in offences committed in 2017, 2018 and 2019 in Mahalapye and Maun. In another incident, a 44-year-old Zimbabwean national Owen Vambe and Akanyang Nfila aged 32 of Mahalapye appeared for mention before Mahalapye Magistrate’s Court last week on suspicion that they have been involved in a series of break ins and theft in and around the village.
