Maele's Councillors Hit Hard At BDP

LECHENG: Councillors from various parties that accompanied Prince Maele at his symbol launch in Lecheng village over the weekend spewed vile and shunned the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) administration and its parliamentary candidate for Lerala/Maunatlala constituency, Sethabelo Modukanele.

Modukanele lost to Maele in the party primary election. He was adopted, as the latter’s replacement when Maele was suspended from the party and stripped of his privilege to contest the next general elections under the party’s ticket.

The civic leaders perceive BDP’s move as undermining the constituents and their interests. Amongst the councillors present were members from the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF), Alliance for Progressives (AP) and independent candidates.
