New Shanti Lo to charm jazz lovers

Jazz x Change promised early this year that it would rise to be the hub of jazz in Botswana with its partner, Cresta Lodge based in Gaborone. 

Talented songbird, Shanti Lo will headline Jazz X Change on August 4, 2019 at Cresta Lodge in Gaborone.

Shanti Lo will present a powerful, 1930’s to 1969 Al Capone themed ‘jazz musical razzmatazz’.

“I have always, ever since I started my art as a musician, wanted to do music of great jazz artists of our time, I need my fans to see a different side of me. My passion and my zeal for jazz, something really different they have never seen before.

The real hidden me is about to come out,”

Shanti Lo said in an interview with Arts & Culture. 

He is the first Motswana artist to perform at esteemed international events such as the Havana Jazz Festival (Havana, Cuba), National Arts Festival (Grahamstown, South Africa), Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival (Johannesburg, South Africa - 2012), Bushfire Arts Festival (Swaziland - 2011) and Mahika Mahikeng Jazz Festival (Mafikeng, South-Afrca -2015). 

Shanti Lo has also performed in Ireland, Nigeria, Kenya and Germany just to mention a few.

His growing brand has accorded him an influential stance in Botswana’s cultural development.
