UDC, BPF In Informal Political Romance

While the Umbrella Democratic Change (UDC) says it has not officially met with the newly formed Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) on the issue of working together in general elections, reports suggest that the two parties’ lower structures are already working together.

Former president Ian Khama recently said there are prospects of working with the UDC.

However UDC spokesperson, Moeti Mohwasa recently said there is no official communication on the matter, which invited them to talk about cooperation.  The Monitor is informed that some BPF members have started to cooperate with members of UDC in constituencies at areas like Serowe and Palapye.
