The international COPA Coca-Cola soccer tournament will be launched at Nthwalang Junior Secondary School, in Digawana near Lobatse next Tuesday.

Nthwalang are the defending Copa Coca-Cola boys’ champions, having won last year’s Under-15 title at the National Stadium in Gaborone.

The national finals will be held in Gaborone from July 18 to 20, 2019.  This follows the zonal games that will be played on June 28 in all the regions.

COPA Cola-Cola is Botswana’s leading secondary schools and youth soccer competition in line with Coca-Cola’s commitment to developing sports at grass root level.

The competition is run in partnership with the Botswana Integrated Sports Association (BISA). COPA Coca-Cola works in partnership with government and Botswana Football Association to make the tournament one of the leading events in the country’s soccer calendar.

“This year’s talent identification tournament is bigger and better. The participants and eventual winners should be inspired to do well,” Terreisha Naidoo, Coca-Cola senior brand manager, Botswana and Namibia said.
