Suspected Gaborone drug lord granted bail

Nelson Ramatshaba, the suspected notorious Gaborone drug lord was on Monday granted bail after an urgent application by his lawyer demanding that his client be released from custody.

Magistrate Basetsana Keakantse presided over the case at the Village Magistrate Court.

The court learnt that Ramatshaba was on bail for three other offences related to drugs. In an affidavit from the police, Ramatshaba was arrested at Builder’s World on February 14, 2014 after it was suspected he was there was on a mission to sell drugs to an unknown buyer.
