The Warders beat Sharps Shooting Stars 1-0 courtesy of Percy More’s effort to finish above Sankoyo Bush Bucks with 29 points. Although Sankoyo also registered a victory against Extension Gunners in the last match of the season, it was not enough as they finished the league with 27 points.

They will be playing in the Debswana First Division North League next season where they will compete for a return to the elite league against former Premier League sides, Nico United and Motlakase Power Dynamos.  However down South, it appears there will be an interesting battle for promotion next season with Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Black Forest having joined the lower division.

The two sides already found themselves in a giant-studded league with the likes of Mogoditshane Fighters, Uniao Flamengo Santos, Jwaneng Fighters and

Broadhurst United. Jwaneng Fighters who were amongst the favourites this past season finished second to Gilport Lions and failed to gain promotion after going down to Morupule Wanderers in the play-offs.

Chiefs will be going into their general meeting next week to map the way forward after a disastrous campaign in the Premier League. As it stands, the Kgatleng giants are most likely to usher in a new committee, which will lead the team in the lower division. With the team currently in financial doldrums, chances are that they will lose most of the senior players to Premier League sides. Their last match in the Premier League ended with a loss to Gaborone United. Forest on the other hand also received a lashing at the hands of the Orapa United.
