Despite Prisons XI escaping relegation on the last day of the 2018/2019 BTC Premiership season, the Debswana First Division South League promises to be a thriller come next season.

The Warders beat Sharps Shooting Stars 1-0 courtesy of Percy More’s effort to finish above Sankoyo Bush Bucks with 29 points. Although Sankoyo also registered a victory against Extension Gunners in the last match of the season, it was not enough as they finished the league with 27 points.

They will be playing in the Debswana First Division North League next season where they will compete for a return to the elite league against former Premier League sides, Nico United and Motlakase Power Dynamos.  However down South, it appears there will be an interesting battle for promotion next season with Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Black Forest having joined the lower division.
