South Africa’s legendary pop artist, Ringo Madlingozi left the crowd at Botswana Craft impressed with his performance during the Mascom Live Sessions on Friday.
He kept the crowd entertained with performances on hit songs like Ndiyagodola, Sondela, Ekuseni just to mention a few from his rich catalogue of music releases.
In response to his good performance, the crowd responded well and sang along to some of their favourite tunes.
In recognition of the couples that graced the show, Madlingozi performed his famous Into Yam, which, translated to English, is “yours is mine and what is mine is yours.” He requested that the couples lovingly cuddle and sing along in appreciation of each other.
Before Ringo graced the stage, local Afro singer, Lizibo opened the show and also dished out a notable performance. The Kalanga hit song maker of Malebeswa alongside KTM choir graced the crowd
Lizibo belted songs such as Malebeswa, Di Out that elicited so much warmth and happiness inside the venue and had everyone singing along. During his performance, Lizibo appreciated the presence of every woman in the crowd, and reminded them of how worthy they are.
In an interview with Showtime, one of the attendees, Batsho Moabi said it was her first time to attend The Mascom Live Sessions.
She also explained that she was amazed by the turn up and the support Batswana have towards this event.
She further said such kind of events do not only contribute to the entertainment appeal of doing business, but also help create the much needed exposure to local artists.
