Engineers Registration Board (ERB) will hold its inaugural engineers forum that aims to stimulate dialogue on the role engineering plays in the discipline’s value chain.
The three-day seminar, which will be held under the theme “Fostering Innovation and Creativity through effective partnerships-key to sustainable service delivery”, is a platform to share experiences, lessons and good practices in the engineering industry.
It will also serve as a dialogue on key topics that are of interest to the engineering community and help find practical innovative and creative solutions that will positively impact the economy.
The seminar will also ensure that credibility and integrity of engineering in Botswana is actually reinstated.
ERB project manager, Clare Mosarwa said recently that the forum seeks to provide a think tank for engineering discussions that will help
“The forum will facilitate discussions on issues and concerns, including those of national concern by addressing specific areas such as innovation and creativity in delivery of engineering services and projects,” Mosarwa said.
She added that it will also highlight role of engineering society in achievement of sustainable development and also create effective partnerships amongst key stakeholders.
At the same time, it will provide a platform for ideas to develop capacity in competence and opportunities for engineering graduates. She further called out for sponsorship from people and stakeholders.
