FRANCISTOWN: Assistant minister of Tertiary Education, Research and Technology, Fidelis Molao has encouraged athletes to take sports seriously. Molao encouraged all athletes that being engaged in sports is another way of earning a living and can help the country to diversify its economy.

He was delivering a keynote address on Saturday at the Botswana Tertiary Student Sports Association (BOTESSA) Athletics Championships at the Francistown Sports Complex.

Molao encouraged sports people to stay clear of drugs because they can ruin their lives and careers. He encouraged all athletes who participated in the games that they are capable of using the games to qualify for major tournaments like the Olympic Games and World Championships.
