BNSC scrapes off chairperson's award

There will be no chairperson’s award in 2019 when the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) hold its annual sports awards.

Instead, the chairperson’s award has been replaced by the Minister’s award, in a change that effects this year.

BNSC chief executive officer, Falcon Sedimo said it was decided last year, that the awards should embrace other sports stakeholders, hence the reason to shift the responsibility of choosing the award winner from the chairperson to the Minister. He said the plan is give the award an over-arching structure.
