This was the striker's fifth title. He has won it before with Township Rollers, twice with GU and now two times with current side, Galaxy.

The closest player to Sembowa is Security Systems’ Ronald Chikomo who has under his name three gold medals.   Sembowa also is currently the only player to have featured in all the Mascom Top 8 seasons since the tournament inception in 2012.   Proven to be a sign of good omen, he got starting berth in Miguel da Costa's side.

He came into the match as the joint leading top goal scorer along side GU's Obonwe Maome and Rollers' duo of Tumisang Orebonye and Kamogelo Matsabu.   However, he did not add to his goal tally, but he played a role in the opening goal with a neatly placed cross for Thero Setsile in the 14th minute.

Speaking to Sport Monitor after the match, the 31-year-old downplayed his achievement as he attributed it to sheer luck. "I guess it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time.

If you look at the teams I have played for, they

are all big clubs with great reputations. So I was just a piece of the puzzle of those squads that have always been hungry for titles. I am just happy to have contributed in the team's run up to the cup’s triumph, something that I will look back to once my playing days are over," he said.

Mateba still aims higher as he showed his desires to represent the Zebras once again. The team's interim coach, Mogomotsi Mpote will name the squad on Wednesday for the last AFCON qualifiers tie. "I became mature at a very young age. I have a lot to offer. With me it is not just about scoring goals, I am more of a team player.

But as strikers, we are required to score goals.  I am not selfish.  I have done enough with the Zebras. There are a lot of youngsters coming up and the coach should look at them since we are in a rebuilding process but if it happens I get a call up, there is no way I would refuse," he said.
