Batswana pride themselves in their culture, like the first president of the republic Sir Seretse Khama used to say “tshaba ee senang ngwao ke moka e latlhegileng,” meaning that a nation that does not pride themselves in their culture is a lost nation.

Bana Ba Mmala Trust (BBMT) through Son of the Soil (SOTS), maintains its efforts to promote culture through song, dance poetry, food, games and craft.

SOTS, an event that was established in 2004, is a destination of culture, tradition and values of Botswana.
