After a 20-year wait for South African Kwaito group Boom Shaka, they are finally back in Botswana to perform at the Waar Was Jy Oldies Series Festival billed for Stanbic Bank Piazza tomorrow.

They will be performing alongside Kabelo ‘Bouga Luv’ Mabalane and Botswana’s very own Mapetla.  According to the organisers, part of the proceeds will be used to buy jerseys for students at Bokamoso Junior Secondary School.

Addressing the media shortly after their arrival yesterday, the Thobela hitmakers, Thembi Seete, Theo Nhlengethwa and Junior Sokhela, could not contain their glee. “We are very excited to be part of this show. The best part is that it is for charity. The moment they mentioned charity I got excited. It is such a great thing to be part of those contributing for the betterment of livelihoods of students and give them a bright future,” Seete said.
