Cross-border crime a global concern - Marathe

The Deputy Commissioner of Police responsible for operations, Dinah Marathe, says cross-border crime remains a global concern.

She said this when officially opening a workshop on basic criminal intelligence analysis, which was held at Grand Palm yesterday.

She said cross-border crimes such as human trafficking, environmental crime, drug trafficking, money laundering and related crimes have a negative impact on economies as funds that could have been used for developments are often diverted to fighting these crimes.
