WUC Admits Waters Woes In Kanye, Thamaga and Molepolole

Following the dry period that affected Kanye, Thamaga and Molepolole, the Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) has decided to spare them from the water cuts that are currently occuring across the country.

When briefing the media recently during the tour of the Mmamashia treatment plant,  Chief Executive Officer of WUC Mmetla Masire said the three villages have been dealt a heavy blow as the generators pumping water and primarily supplying Molepolole and Thamaga are reportedly dysfunctional; a crisis solely induced by power failure that also reign big in the areas.

“We are going to be opening the Kanye, Moshupa and Thamaga line this year. It is very important that we start preparing for more water to reach the Southern region of Botswana. This is a very strategic project that has multiple purposes,” Masire sai.
