BDP member wants Venson-Moitoi to apologise

A member for Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Dithapelo Tshotlego has called on Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi to apologise to President Mokgweetsi Masisi over the comments she made regarding the vice presidency position.

In a complaint letter addressed to the presidential hopeful and copied to Masisi and the party, Tshotlego said the Serowe South MP lied about being promised to be a Vice President when the current Head of State took over.

“As much as I know very well that you as a member of the BDP has ambitions to pursue your political career like any other,” the party member said, “I find it wrong and unethical for you to have deliberately uttered untruths about our party President Mokgweetsi Masisi”.
